Now, we are going to show you how to set up a dashboard, which is quite simple.

Step 1: Create a Monday.com account for your company if you don’t yet have one.

Choose a plan (individual plan, basic plan, standard plan, pro plan, or enterprise plan) to get started. The individual plan (a free plan) is best for independent professionals looking to keep track of their work and tasks. There is also a 14-days free trial.

Step 2: Add a new board

Go to the workspace and click the “+Add” icon (use this icon to add any new item) and choose “New Dashboard”.

Step 3: Select your dashboard type

There are three different types of boards available: main dashboards, private boards, and shareable boards.

Main boards can be viewed by every individual in the organization who has access to this project management software. The private dashboards will only be visible to staff invited to collaborate on them. Lastly, the shareable dashboards are those that you can share with individuals outside your organization: freelancers, consultants, suppliers, customers, etc.

Step 4: Choose your dashboard’s boards

The number of boards you can select depends on the plan you’ve purchased.

Step 5: Add widgets

Pick from the available widgets and customize your board in a way that works for you.

Step 6: Add a view

Click on the + icon and choose any of the views listed. You have the option to view your data via a board view or a dashboard view. You can view your Monday projects in the Kanban view, the table view, the chart view, the Gantt view, etc. Note that you can use two views simultaneously using the split-screen mode – it shows the main table view beneath the default board.
